The Tetrahedron

The tetrahedron has four faces, four vertices, and six edges. The tetrahedron is its own dual with (interchanging the number of faces and vertices) four faces, four vertices, and six edges.

The ocean photographs were taken this summer 2003 in Boca Raton, Florida. I like to think of the above three photos as a vanishing mirror, but vanishing reflection might be more accurate. The water leaves the sand very quickly, and as it does, the reflection leaves with it. Beneath the ocean photographs are photographs taken at the Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex, also in Boca Raton, in summer 2002. There were several types fish and marine creatures in their tanks, however, some of them, like the varieties of fish, weren't cooperative about being photographed. There are a lot of pictures with stingrays, because the stingrays seemed to like the structures and were constantly swimming back and forth around them. The seastar didn't move, so it was always a good candidate for a photograph.
